For over 35 years, Big Bend Hospice has been inspiring hope by positively impacting the way our community experiences serious illness or grief – one family at a time. We have deep roots throughout our eight-county service, supporting individuals and their loved ones in the Big Bend. The mission of Big Bend Hospice is to provide compassionate care to individuals with a life limiting illness, comfort to their families, and emotional support to anyone who has lost a loved one.

Big Bend Hospice belongs to this community.  Following the initiation of modern hospice care in the United States in 1974, medical and civic leaders in the Big Bend area received a certificate of need and in 1983 received a license from the State of Florida to provide hospice care in Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor and Wakulla County.  850-878-5310 or www.bigbendhospice.org

Big Bend Hospice Offers Free Grief Counseling Services: Individual grief support in Wakulla and Franklin, as well as in-services and support for workplaces, churches, etc.. As an agency we offer support groups and remembrance services and events in Leon County.  BBH also provide grief education materials.
