Tillie Miller Park
A centerpiece of town featuring tennis courts, basketball courts, kiddie playground, picnic pavilion and gazebo, restrooms. Great Place to have birthday parties or just a day of fun in the park with your kids.
History: For 43 years, Tillie Miller was a friend, advisor, midwife and sometimes doctor to the People of Carrabelle. Miller came to Carrabelle with her husband in 1924. Residents here say she reached out and touched almost everyone in one way or another and today when people speak of her their description is “wonderful. The bridge over the Carrabelle River also bears her name. One resident summed it all up by saying, “Seems only right to name the bridge after Miss Tillie. After all, that bridge is strong and sturdy, like she was, and yet it is also pretty, and she was certainly that. Each day when we go over it, it will be a fine reminder of a really precious lady.”
