George Sands Park

Features a fenced in young children’s playground, walking paths, a lovely pond with fountains, picnic tables, restrooms and a shelter often used for birthday parties.

History:  Named for Carrabelle’s own Doc Adams (Gunsmoke), Dr. George Sands.  Carrabelle had a super hospital back in those days, where Harbor Breeze is located. There, they did surgery, delivered kids and had three doctors in attendance, Drs. Sands, Pierce and Mabry.

This public park, managed by the City of Carrabelle, is located on the east side of Carrabelle on Hwy 98 between SE 3rd & 5th Streets.
