Workin' on the Railroad

10 am-12 pm at C-Quarters Marina

The Carrabelle History Museum is hosting a fascinating, free program about the railroad industry, “Workin' on the Railroad" on Saturday, September 30, 10 am-12 pm in the Upstairs Meeting Room at C-Quarters Marina, 501 St. James Avenue (US 98), Carrabelle, FL. This program will focus on the time when trains brought in hundreds of visitors to our coast and shipped out seafood, lumber and naval stores throughout the country. Come learn about the booming industries brought here by the railroads during the turn of the century. This program features Nelson Martin from the Sopchoppy Railroad Depot Museum and musician and folklorist Frank Lindamood who will be singing and playing several songs that reflect the lives of the working class people of those times.
