October Fest

On Saturday, October 2nd St James Bay Resort is hosting the 6th Annual Tate's Hell 5k and throwing an all-day Oktoberfest, benefitting the Franklin County Senior Center. 
The day kicks off with the 6th Annual Tate's Hell 5k, followed by a craft beer tasting from 10-2 from more than 10 different Florida breweries, live music, food and face painting all day. live music including a blues group, a banjo picker, a kids group, and more, plus a silent auction and old fashioned cake walk. Sign-ups have begun for the 5k, which can be completed through the race's Facebook page 'Tate's Hell and Back 5k' or contacting race coordinator BeLinda Wharton via email at
7:45am - 5k Registration and shirt pick up at Crooked River Grill 

9:00am - Tate's Hell 5k begins 10am - 2pm - Craft Beer Tasting at tennis courts 

10am - 1:30pm - Silent Auction on indoor patio 10:15am - 5k awards at St James Bay Outdoor Pavilion 

9am - 2pm - Live music featuring Chris Matechik, Blues Meets Girl & Rockulla Music at Outdoor Pavilion 

12 noon - Chicken Dance at the Pavilion 

1 pm - Old Fashioned Cake Walk Can and draft craft beers, alcohol, and non-alcoholic drinks for sale in the restaurant 

Food Specials available all day in the restaurant (Bavarian pretzels, seafood & burgers) Outdoor grill going all day with German style Brats and hotdogs
