Carrabelle Lighthouse Association Hosts a Night of Magical History

  6 pm – 10 pm

Shipwreck tales, glowing lanterns, music and night time tower climbs bring magic & history together.

The Carrabelle Lighthouse Association is excited to host the 2017 Lantern Fest in honor of the 122nd birthday of the Crooked River Lighthouse. The board made the big decision this year decided not to compete with Halloween events and Fall Festivals. Therefore, the 2017 Lantern Fest Celebration is being changed to SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21 from 6-10 PM at Crooked River Lighthouse, 1975 Highway 98 West, Carrabelle Beach, FL.

This fabulous event will light up the night as shipwreck tales, over a hundred enchanting, glowing lanterns, music, dance, and special night time tower climbs bring magic & history together at the 1895 maritime landmark. This year’s Lantern Fest will again include great food, museum browsing and gift shopping opportunities along with those spectacular glow-in-the-dark dancers from Tallahassee Community College (TCC). Joining the celebration this year will be the three red headed siblings from the Irish band, KILLAVIL too!

Save the date, Saturday, October 21 from 6-10 PM, and start making lanterns now or attend one of our Lantern Making Workshops !  For more information, please visit our Facebook page,  or contact (850) 697-2732 or Funded in part by the Franklin County Tourist Development Council. Special thanks to the City of Carrabelle.
