Lantern Fest at the Crooked River Lighthouse

Crooked River Lighthouse Hosts a Night of Magical History. Glowing lanterns, music, dance and night time tower climbs bring magic & history together.

Light up the night at Lantern Fest with the Crooked River Lighthouse on Saturday, October 19 from 6 - 10 pm at the lighthouse park at 1975 Hwy 98 West, Carrabelle Beach, FL. Join the glow of over hundred colorful, hanging lanterns in celebration of the Crooked River Lighthouse's 124th birthday! Local lore, glowing lanterns, music, dance, theater, yummy food and night time tower climbs bring magic and history together! Admission to Lantern Fest is only $5 for adults and $1 for children.

This remarkable festival, best known for its awesome display of beautiful, hanging lanterns, also features wonderful live music by gifted musicians Aisha Ivey and Stephen Hodges and a spectacular “glow-in-the-dark” performance by the Tallahassee Community College Dance Company. Actor River Sheridan will perform a dramatic reading, portraying John Caldwell, the last keeper of the Dog Island Light.  In addition, guests may enjoy evening tower climbs (must be 44” tall. Fee: Adult $5, Child $3) and an ancient craft demonstration by blacksmith, John Pfund. The Keeper's House Museum and Gift Shop will be open and delicious food can be purchased from the Marine Street Grill along with delectable desserts and Carrabelle Coast Coffee from the Beacon Bistro!

Come revel in this unique birthday party in honor of the 124th birthday of this 1895 maritime landmark, the Crooked River Lighthouse!
