24th Annual Camp Gordon Johnston Reunion Days

Camp Gordon Johnston Association [CGJA] cordially invites you and your organization to participate in the 24th annual CGJA Parade in Carrabelle, Florida on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 10:45 AM (EST).   This parade will give, as always, special recognition to our WWII veterans, while focusing on all veterans for their many sacrifices in service to our nation.

This year’s parade should include CGJ Museum vehicles (DUKW, Willis Jeep and German Lieferwagon) vintage WWII vehicles, vehicles from more recent conflicts, area JROTC Units, color guards, veteran and auxiliary units, and many floats, antique cars and beauty queens.

Please come and honor all veterans, past and present, at the March 9th parade at Carrabelle.  To be placed within the parade, please fill out the attached application and return it by the March 6, 2019 deadline.  If you arrive without pre-registering, you are welcome to join us but may be placed at the end of the parade. If time allows we will try to place you with like-unit sections within the parade.

After the parade, enjoy shopping and lunch and come visit the CGJ WWII MUSEUM at 1873 U. S. Highway 98 West across from Carrabelle Beach, where our historical vehicles will be on display.

Additional public events are a Saturday evening Dinner-Dance and a Sunday Dice Run Fundraiser. The Senior Citizens Center is hosting a 1940's era dinner and dance.   There is always good food and good music there! For information and tickets call 850-697-3760. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door.

On Sunday March 10th, CGJ Museum will be hosting their first Dice Run fundraiser to support the museum.  Both vehicles and bikes are welcome.  Registration is 12:00-1:30 at the CGJ Museum, with the last vehicle due in at 4:30 at the CGJ American Legion Post #82, Lanark Village.  The day will end with prizes for high and low rollers, door prizes, 50-50 drawing, and good food.   Details will be posted on our Face book page.  Questions about the Dice Run:  Mark 785-851-7288 or Jim 260-341-7291.

We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming 2019 Camp Gordon Johnston Days Events.
