Friends of the Governor Stone, Inc.

The National Historic Landmark Schooner GOVERNOR STONE is the last know working shallow draft Gulf Coast schooner.

Our mission is to highlight and share the history of waterfront communities by sailing and exhibiting the 1877 Schooner GOVERNOR STONE along the Northern Gulf Coast.

The Friends of the GOVERNOR STONE Inc. operate the vessel as a Living History Museum.  We do educational tours and sail the vessel in the communities along the Northern Gulf Coast that we visit.  We are a non-profit 501-c3 organization, the sails are free but any and all donations are accepted as we restore, maintain, preserve, and share this National Historic Landmark that calls St. Andrews, Florida its homeport.  We are proud to bring her to visit her Friends in Carrabelle.
