Ron DeSantis is ordering that checkpoints be installed along Florida's roads to account for traveling drivers and has also suspended all new vacation rentals in Florida for the next 14 days. The public beach and public parking ordinance for Franklin County will remain in effect for the next 14 days or when the Fl governor updates his order. The public beaches are still closed on SGI & Franklin County.

On Friday, March 27, 2020 the Franklin County Board of County Commissioners signed and resolution in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Per the resolution, visitors (day trips or extended stays) are remain in their home in their primary communities. It also advises and directs a mandatory 14-day self-quarantine for visitors entering Franklin County from highly affected areas.  Additionally, beach closures were extended 14 days (through April 9th).

Update Friday, March 20, 2020

Governor Ron DeSantis has ordered all restaurants in Florida to shut down their dining rooms and opt for delivery or takeout instead.

The order was issued today and is effective immediately, meaning you can only get take-out and delivery at your favorite local restaurants.

That also means no alcohol consumption at restaurants. However, the order states that alcohol sales to go with food that is picked-up or delivered will be permitted and I.D. will be required for orders including alcohol.

Groceries and others are still permitted to sell alcohol, but only if it's sealed for consumption off the property.

Please follow the CDC guidelines and let's do our part to prevent the spread through our community.  Each one of us can make a difference!  We will continue to monitor this unfolding situation and CDC guidelines.  Most events and activities where groups of 10 or more gather have been either cancelled or postponed. Some attractions are also closed, check their Facebook page for status.  Our beaches are closed until April 9th.  Most restaurants will continue to be open,  implementing to-go.  Delivery service is available in some instances.  All bars will be closed at 5 pm  (3/17) for the next 30 days, but many also have attached restaurants that will continue to be open for take-out orders. Obviously, everyone has implemented deep cleaning to help protect visitors and locals.    Updates will be posted as conditions change.  Stay safe, and stay healthy!

Our Restaurants are still open and Ready to Serve you to-go!  Go to our "Things To Do" Tab & Scroll down "Restaurants & Catering" for phone numbers and days/hours of operation
